I've been waiting... I've been waiting since Sophomore year to have a Bjork Concert experience! She is coming to chicago may 12th, and I am freaking out!!!!!!!!!
and if you didn't already know The Sarah Silverman Program is absolutely hysterical and definately my favorite show right now. Its the only show I actually watch every week.
Thursday nights at 9:30 on comedy central, they are going to start restarting the first 6 episodes now. it has already been signed for a second season.
1st episode - Introduction of all the characters 2nd - Sarah takes in a homeless man so that she can be a humanitarian 3rd - Sarah THINKS she has Aids and starts a full committee in just one day! 4th - Sarah takes a little girl under her wing so she can win the Little Miss Rainbow pagent through the little girl. 5th - Sarah falls in love with a lesbian cop. 6th - Random shit and random jokes, Oh and she has a one night stand with god, and he's black!!!!!
I forgot to tell you all! My Clothing Construction teacher told me I should tryout for the Student Runway show at my community college that I go to. The try outs had already happened, but I walked for a girl who is in my class, and who is also in the Runway planning class.
AND I GOT IT!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said I definately had the best walk, which has improved. it was more rhythmic and structured and its in the middle of a boy and girl walk, which is good, I hate male runway duck walks.
Anyways, the show is in May, and I am definately having my friends come, and I am definately making them tape it.
Monday I had school, Tuesday I had work, and then I had to drive to the city,
AND I GOT IN A BAD CAR CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 lanes, 50mph, i'm in the left. it starts to snow, i am very aware of it. the snow starts drifting from the left side of the road, and so i didn't want to accidently go into it, so I move my week 2 inches to the right.
IMMEDIATELY I start to swerve across the middle lane and i could not control the car, the only thing I could thing of was "omg i am the cause of a huge car pile up!!!!" And I was on speaker phone with my sister amber, and she wouldn't stop talking. I smacked into what I thought at the time was a semi truck, but it was actually a tow truck. after hitting it from the front right of the car, i began to bounce off and swerve more and even worse. My car hit the truck with the right back near my gas tank, and flew back across the middle lane and the back of the car slammed into the cement wall.
I was COMPLETELY 100% alright, I couldn't believe it that nobody got hurt.
Anyways here is pictures of the damage. The driver of the tow truck was fine, and I have court an hour away in Maywood, IL tuesday, which sucks.
And then I had another photo intern/assisting thing on Wednesday. It was for Arlington Park Horse Racing. they are doing a 30 something special insert in chicago social magazine, and 4-6 pages is a fashion editorial. we had to attach fishing wire to her dress and blow air under her dress while she lept with binoculars. she had the riding hats in some shots, the whips, the straps. It was great, and the model was awesome! Interning is stressful tho it's fun to meet everyone. David is a hard worker and I am learning a lot, and I have to remember things ONCE and try and do it as quickly as possible. I have to do a lot of writing in my notepad. He can be hard at sometimes, but you know what? I remember things! Its hard because I don't know a lot of the equipment names, so when he says them I have to try and think of what it even is and find it. It's great experience and I am with good company
Oh and I found a great place to shoot outside today, its getting warmer, so I will have another shoot (with hailei most likely) at the end of the month.
And Scissor Sisters was on Friday, FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only dissapointments is that I didn't stay in front for the 2 hours of the opener, I would of had such a better time. And the people around me weren't that cool, and nobody seemed to like to dance a lot to them. I had a good time and got a lot of great photos and vids, not the best, but enough. I'll post those sometime.
at 10:08pm in 1987, my mother pushed me out of her dialated vagina, so please think of that at the appropriate time. LOL!
Alright so I got something REAL special for my birthday, AN ULCER ON MY CORNEA!!!!!! It hurt so bad! I got it from excessive contact use. I ALWAYS slept with mine in, and the last time, I hadn't taken them out for 2 months straight. I had to leave work early and go to my eye doctor at Lenscrafters. I got a perscrpition for the thjs little bottle of drops.
Other exciting news, I am dropping off my high-res CD at Elite Chicago tomorrow, on my birthday. Then I am going to hang out with lovely Megan B, the one who was in the wire hanger video for a second, The one that was screaming and I hit her thumb. She also let me use her apartment for my testshoot with Hailei.
ALSO!!!! I just got a message on myspace from a photographer, David Anthony. If you remember he gave me the Elite contact way back at Chicago fashion week. He invited me to be a 3rd assitant on a Baker's Shoe ad on Friday! How exciting. It doesn't pay but I will have the experience of working on a shoot with an art director and clients on set. How fucking awesome!!!
I'll tell you all how Elite liked the photos later.
My first testshoot was today! Some of you know, some of you don't, but I had my VERY FIRST testshoot with Elite today.
The model's name is hailei, she was featured on Models.com Model of the Week. You can click that link to see her polaroids.
I got connected with her because her mom comes into my friend Samantha's work, Carabou Coffee. Samantha recognized her when I was showing her some of the new faces on elitechicago.com, and she recognized her. I made a little business card and begged her to talk to Hailei the next time she came in.
WELL her mom came in, and was ticked. I contacted Marissa the head booker and set it all up, and wha-LA!! Hailei is one of their well known new faces and has gotten quite a few jobs! Basic Boutique has several of her photos.
Here are the digital tests, mind you the film ones I will be working on all day tomorrow, and these don't do justice to the real photos. She really was amazing and moved so well.

The finished product I really worked hard on these, and they may not look THAT different from the ones on myspace, but I finished retouching these and these are the final prints.
And guess what! Elite emailed me back (finally). They were really busy and didn't have their whole staff for some time now, but he is speaking with Jan (VP) and Marrissa (head booker) and scheduling me to shoot some of the new girls, FOR SURE. If I don't hear from him early next week, he told me to send him an email. He apologized and said.... ok you know what? I'll just post the damn thing
I'm working my ass off this week, I have a car insurance bill due and a whole bunch of shit.
And in Jessica Simpson's A Public affair it almost sounds like she says "ALL THE CAMELS COME OUT FOR A PUBLIC AFFAIR!" I was obsessed with this song after I saw the video over the summer, I bought the ringtone and played it countless times, rediculous I know.
And BTW, who has all seen the musical "Reefer Madness" ?? ITS AMAZING!

I seriously get like 2 comments a week on this video telling me how horrible I am!! But to be honest, my little brother was doing an interpretation and I was hyper. I think its endearing and a special tribute to a great man. No seriously, I really do think he's great, but people need to calm down.
AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE COMEDIANS, SARAH SILVERMAN! I was watching this with a black girl one time and she was like, "TURN THAT OFF, THAT IS RACIST, THAT IS RACIST" I'm sorry, but its hysterical and race is NOT mentioned ONCE in this video. How offensive is Dave Chappelle?
